In the past, I have been critical of Republican politicians, but I have never doubted their loyalty to our country. However, yesterday, Trump did something unprecedented in our nation's history: he sided with an enemy of the United States. Trump and his protégé, J.D. Vance, echoed Russian propaganda and disparaged the leader of a country bravely standing up to Russian aggression.

This is inexcusable. If Republicans in Congress fail to act, they are just as culpable as Trump. They are no longer the loyal opposition but merely self-serving individuals living off taxpayer funds. Please excuse my editing. Apparently something went wrong with my word processing program. But the facts still remain.
