The irony is that NC gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson's corruption or at a minimum very sloppy record-keeping, owing more than $130,000 to the state, was exposed by CONSERVATIVE activists. https://dailyhaymaker.com/big-mark-opens-fire-on-the-department-of-health-human-services/

Yet of course he blames liberals and Democrats. He is simply NOT credible. This has got to hurt him with voters who value clean government regardless of ideology.

I hope the public is paying attention to the Superintendent of Public Instruction race. Your description of Michelle Morrow is on target. The big obstacle is that unlike the gubernatorial or a US Senate race this contest is so down ballot that voters ignore it until Election Day. She's not talking to the media, just going to various county Republican gatherings and introducing herself. I hope many will contribute to Moe Green's campaign and that he'll have enough $$$ to do statewide television advertising. Newspapers and television must do more stories as well. As for Robinson, Phil Berger and other state republican legislative leaders KNOW THEY CAN CONTROL HIM (emphasis mine). Thomas, good luck with your independent US House candidate in the Ninth Congressional District.

Weirdness is right. When it comes to Robinson and Morrow, some specific terms come to mind. For Robinson: straight up misogynist for starters. For Morrow: dimwit. Calling either of these two just plain weird fits, and we must nail the coffins of such candidates with vocabulary to include words like egoists, carpers, self-aggrandizers. Calling either one dumb--I'd say no to that because they are not stupid dumb. There's more "sleaze" to it as each is corrupt. As in rotten.

Its weirdness might make sense if there’s a political strategy to defend Donald Trump by saying he’s not as bad as these Republican candidates in North Carolina.
