Astute post--after Harris Trump debate Sept. 10, 2024. Now when people say, "We don't really know her," just say, "Watch this televised encounter, and you will." Personally I loved seeing her authentic nervy moments at beginning as she revved up and her prosecutorial chops kicked in. Homework makes a difference. Clearly she is not averse to preparing and doing that well--hence momentary nerves to begin. Yet that did not prevent her from stepping up from beginning and into his space with professional handshake. I love witnessing--especially feminine natural strength and body beauty awareness. Men have this also when they embrace their Yin side alongside their Yang. Make no mistake, we saw her "Yang" it up. And this will be a close election nonetheless because of variable not worth unpacking here. To many I know who will never "let" themselves evolve and will vote for trump no matter what, I'm sad for each person like this for "their" whatever reasons. Threeforths into televised event, I muted TV and studied body language. I love her jiu-jitsu.
I think we Democrats may just have us a candidate for President who’s the full ticket. God knows America and the world needs one, and Kamala Harris is it.
There was more to Clinton than scandals. He balanced the budget! He tried to get health care with Hillary Clinton working on that despite hostile Republicans. A relentless assault by Kenneth Star for things right wingers brush off with Trump wasted a lot of money. I admired Hillary Clinton. Too bad Burney Sanders kept after her long after he should have dropped out. And Comey bringing up emails right at the end hurt her campaign.
The GOP needs to spend time in the desert to regain true conservative bona fides. A Harris-Walz landslide would help the GOP excise the Trumpism cult infection.
Thanks for the wide reaching summary of Kamala's debate, Thomas. Well stated, I agree with it all.
Wishing all the many volunteer canvassers in Eastern Forsyth County good luck. We have been out about four weeks and have a busy 3 weeks head. Maybe we will turn NC blue this time. Fingers crossed.
Is Harris conscious of this?

Well said. The comedian J.L. Cauvin did a hilarious impression of Trump after the debate. https://jimbuie.substack.com/p/kamala-harris-dragon-slayer
I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for a thoughtful consistent message. Let’s all hope and pray for a Blue Wave 🌊
I covered four campaign appearances by First Bush, Carter and Reagan. Trump probably lost the election last night
Also want to add Harris ate Trump for lunch! What a great job she did.
