With apologies for bringing this up in a North Carolina Politics newsletter but, with Gov. Cooper being a possible VP pick, I have to ask: will chosing this older, charismatic, effective leader with proven appeal to moderate voters but who's been in elected office for some forty years, diminish the enthusium of younger voters who appear enthused by the Democratic Party finally passing the torch to a younger generation of leaders?

Would the younger PA Gov Shapiro or the even younger Cabinet Secretary Pete Buttigieg be smarter picks?
