I appreciate today's post and the careful unpacking Mills does. BUT "false equivalencies" and muddying the waters have been and continue to be how Republican operatives operate. And this will not stop because low-level moves such as these work quite well to obscure realities. It's easy. And such boneheaded plays work perfectly--especially for those who know the deal about Trump but do not like to admit this to themselves and don't really care. I'm not talking about MAGA base here. I'm talking about people we all know in our families and circles who need to have the tracks of their own shortcomings erased to protect themselves from self awareness about their own greed, self-importance, racist and misogynistic tendencies. I'd love to see Biden course correct. His presidency accomplishes despite surreal times in which we are living. But come on. A lot is not working because he continues to fail to reach broadly our voting populace. I know. I know. November is months away. But really? What's Joe's plan to cut through the BS?
